Overview on Research
The aim of my research is the synthesis and characterization of bio-based cyclomatrix polyphosphazenes and the application of these polymers as ecological and sustainable flame-retardants. The colloidal polyphosphazene particles are applied as a coating or additive on textiles or plastics. These polyphosphazene particles can be counted as microgels. In this context, the thermal resistance and flame retardant properties of the polymers are determined by various analytical methods. The efficiency of the flame retardant activity can be directly influenced by the polymer composition and the coating amount.
