Overview on Research

My research focuses on the questions how surfaces can be coated with functional microgels or how microgels can be structured on a surface. On the one hand I focus on the development of microgels for crop protection. Those microgels can be loaded with pesticides or herbicides and release them under defined conditions. By this we want to reduce the used amount of pesticides and herbicides. On the other hand, we focus on the development of microgels that can be used to fabricate nanostructured microgel arrays, which can be used to manipulate the cell surface interactions.
