Overview on Research
The aim of my research is to synthesize novel polyampholyte microgels with controlled distribution of ionizable groups. To achieve this goal new synthesis routes were developed to synthesize polyampholyte microgels with controlled chemical structure, morphology and distribution of ionizable groups (Statistical, Core-shell and Janus-like). The synthesized polyampholyte microgel systems are stimuli responsive, biocompatible and biodegradable, thus are interesting candidates as carrier systems for biomolecules such as as protein and peptides for application in medicine and agricultural technologies.
