Overview on Research

His research work focuses on the sustainable synthesis and characterization of biobased microgel systems and their use for crop protection applications. For this he focuses on the use of polysaccharides as a building block, because they can guarantee good biocompatibility and biodegradability along with the efficient binding of metal ions and organic compounds used in the agricultural technologies.

Research focus

  • Synthesis and characterization of responsive pektin-based microgels
  • Application of pectin-based microgels as containers for loading of insecticides and herbicides

Projects

GreenRelease: GreenRelease for Plant Health
Ecoguard: Regenfeste Abgabesysteme zum Schutz der Weinrebe vor Rebenperonospora und Kirschessigfliege
GreenToxiConomy: Green Toxicology for a Green Bioeconomy
