Overview on Research

The main focus of my research is to design supramolecular microgels which exhibit unique properties like responsiveness to environmental stimuli, degradability and self-healing. For the precise fabrication of gels, drop-based microfluidic is used as a main technique.

Research focus

  • Synthesis of new molecular building blocks to modulate the chemical structure of microgels
  • Development of efficient microgel synthesis techniques in microfluidic droplets to vary size/shape/internal morphology
  • Fabrication of hierarchically structured materials with programmed properties
