Overview on Research
My research focuses on the synthesis of new light responsive microgels by incorporating different photoswitchable molecules like azobenzene, spiropyran and DASAs into microgel structure via different methods. The designed microgels would possess light responsive property of photochromic, photoluminescence, hydrophilicity change and so on, which would make the microgels have potential applications in imaging, coatings, drug delivery, catalysis, sensors and actuators.
