In industrial processes carried out on a large scale, resource efficiency plays an essential role in addition to the activity of the catalysts used. Thus, heterogenization of homogeneous catalysts attempts to combine the high selectivity and full availability of the catalytically active species in homogeneous catalysis with the advantages of heterogeneous catalysis, such as the easy separability of catalyst and reactants.
In my research, I am trying to extend a known immobilization method on new reactions as well as metals and apply these anchored catalysts in (continuous-flow) catalysis.
