The research for my master thesis is focused on the investigation of water splitting using polymeric photocatalysts to produce hydrogen in a sustainable manner. Therefore, I investigate the activity of polymeric photocatalysts in the water splitting reaction. Beside the materials synthesis and characterization, my plan is to apply methods for mechanistic elucidation from molecular catalysis to these heterogeneous systems.
